About

Looking for some evening fun and excitement in New Orleans this summer?

A short, quick and scenic ferry ride will take you to it as the Algiers Economic Development Foundation presents another season of the "Wednesdays on the Point" Summer Concert Series.

Algiers Point is the old section of New Orleans on the west bank of the Mississippi River, founded around the same time as the rest of the city in the early 1700s. To commemorate the colorful history of "The Point" and its contributions to the development of jazz, Wednesdays on the Point presents some of the top musicians in the city internationally renowned for its music.
